*record scratch* “I’m Miles Morales. You probably wonder how I ended up here.“
So I’m watching Justice League and I just have so many problems with it.
1. We’re gonna talk about how shitty Zack Snyder is and how he fucked up Superman. There is NO reason why Superman, known for being “the Boy Scout” who always does the right thing, is so angsty and kills Zod and DESTROYS Metropolis. They tied a “Dark Knight” take on a character who is the opposite. DUMB
2. BvS: Don’t watch it unless you have the extended version. The extended version give Lois Lane an actual purpose for being around and helps you realize that she’s actually a damn good reporter. Zack Snyder got that right. The rest with the whole Martha thing was SO DUMB. There have literally been dozens of ways to make it good and they did none of them. Just really bad writing!
3. Also BvS: I loved Ben Affleck as Batman! They actually made him pretty damn awesome, EXCEPT HE WAS DROPPING BODIES EVERY SCENE! (BATMAN DOESNT KILL!!)
4. Wonder Woman: Great movie! I’m glad they nailed the character. They changed her story a little bit, but like it’s something you can get over. And like, she’s been an international icon for Decades! It’s nice to the impact she’s had in the real world especially in a time where Donald Trump is ruining everything.
5 Justice League: while I HATE Zack Snyder, I really feel bad for him because his daughter committed suicide and he couldn’t finish the movie. Suicide is always sad, especially when it’s children. I am glad Joss Whedon took over and did some reshoots to help shape the movie up a bit. That being said, didn’t save it.
6. Justice League: no Green Lantern or Martian Manhunter? C’mon!
7. Justice League: Ibdont like Batman in this. There is a way for him to “be hopeful” but now he’s corny af. BATMAN DOESNT MAKE JOKES. And he’s got a ton of little side jokes this whole time. And him “debating” on bringing Superman back. The Batman I know if he had to do this, would just say “fuck it it’s happening” not cracking fish jokes.
7. Justice League: I don’t care for Ezra Miller as the Flash. I loved him in Perks of being a Wallflower and the Stanford Experiment is on my “to watch list” I like him. Do I see him as the flash? Nah. I didn’t want Grant Gustin as the flash either. If they wanna make it there own universe, that’s fine. It’s DC, they got the multiverse I ain’t pressed. I just didnt care for his “socially awkward” personality. I’m sure realistically if the Flash existed he’d have a hard time relating to people and keeping focused, but I’m not a fan.
8. Justice League: Jason Mamoa and Ray Fisher were good, I just wished they had better writing. The characters are so good and didn’t live up to what they could have been and didn’t save the movie.
I don’t know why DC decided to try their own path when Marvel has been around for 10 years, making SO MUCH MONEY, and making stupid good movies people are dying to see (I’m looking at you Black Panther and Infinity War) it’s a superhero movie. While some characters and storylines are dark af, like know your audience! If you’ve read this, thank you. I don’t really have a friend I can harass at 1:30 am and talk about this. So I’m gonna wrap this up before we even talk about Suicide Squd cause this post is long enough. (Feel free to tell me if you think I’m wrong, right, or an idiot!)
“Like, why do gay people always have to talk about being gay, no one cares anymore, it’s not a big deal, get over it.”
THIS IS WHY AMBER
HUH IT’S ALMOST LIKE SOMETHING HAPPENED TOWARD THE END OF 2016 THAT WOULD EMPOWER HOMOPHOBES AND TRANSPHOBES TO BE MORE VIOLENT………….
“In addition, the overwhelming majority—71 percent—of victims were people of color, and 60 percent of the victims were black.”
